LinkedIn +

With the aim to contribute and give back to the local community, BDSwiss went beyond business-as-usual, with its latest donation, this time in support of the Ronald McDonald Haus Berlin-Wedding in Germany.

The Ronald McDonald Haus Berlin-Wedding is one of the twenty-two Houses in Germany developed by the Ronald McDonald House Charities (Ronald McDonalds-KinderLife), a global independent nonprofit organisation whose stated mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children all around the world. Currently, more than 360 houses can be found in over 64 different countries and regions across the globe.

BDSwiss’ representatives, from the local office in Berlin, had the opportunity to meet the team of volunteers, while Mrs Cindy Gill, Manager at the Ronald McDonald House Berlin-Wedding offered them a tour of the building and its various facilities, sharing her experiences and the immediate needs of families with hospitalized children.

Since its foundation 1998, with 36 flats in total, the Ronald McDonald House Berlin-Wedding, has housed more than 500 families with hospitalised children in the nearby German Heart Center Berlin (DHZB) or the Charité Campus Virchow-Klinikum. The foundation is supported by organisations and maintained by volunteers, offering accommodation and resources to families with children undertaking open-heart surgery treatments as well as leukaemia, cancer and other related chronic illnesses.

BDSwiss was honoured to be added as one of the Sponsors of the Haus shared Living Room for its most recent donation, which aims to help cover some of the urgent operating expenses including maintenance and renovations, while the broker also remains committed to further contribute to the local community through its CSR initiatives.
